Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair also known as KLIBF is an event organized by the Ministry of Education, together with six associations of Malaysian Book Industry. This event held every year around the end of April until early of May and I'm sure you guys already familiar with this event, right? This year, I got the chance to go there not just once but twice. It used to be a place where my friends and I go to every single year but we cannot make it for the last two/three years because of our commitments. Even this year, one of my friends cannot be there with us since her due date was around the corner at that time.
I went there on the first day and second last day of KLIBF. It makes such a difference either you go early or late. It was so packed on Karya Seni hall during the first day and I had to queue for about 30 minutes to pay while on the second last day the cashier area was empty, no line at all. I'm not complaining because of the waiting though cause I still have to wait to pay right? Just saying that what time you decided to go also made such a huge difference. That is what I want to mention here.
Suamiku Si Mata Biru - Evelyn Rose (Karya Seni)
This is the first book I got once I reached PWTC. I was not planned to buy this novel at first but when I saw the writer name, I just grabbed it. I know that Evelyn Rose will not disappoint me. Why? Because I already have and read her first and second novels of Evelyn Rose before, both of them are great. I love it so much especially 13 Jam A380. I wanted to buy 13 Jam A380 since mine was borrowed by my aunt and I want to read the novel again, but I let that thought away. I will just wait until I received it again. I'm actually already finished reading this novel. It took me around 6 hours to reach the last page. Quite impressive for my first novel for this year.
This novel was on my wishlist since last year. Why I didn't buy it right away? Because I wanted to wait until KLIBF for more discounts and cheaper price. Haha. If it is a way to get you save more why not, right? I'm a fan of Crystal Anabella's novels after I read Bakal Isteriku, Gangsternya! which is her first novel ever. Ever since every time there is new novel coming up, I will try to get it. I already read the first fifteen chapters through online before but I can't recall the storyline since it is been a while already. Looking forward to reading this novel next.
Another novel by Crystal Anabella. This is her latest novel that will officially be out on the bookstores on this coming June. I'm quite surprised since it is coming from another publisher cause usually her novels will be from Karya Seni and Fajar Pakeer but nevermind. Which publisher produced her novel is not the issue here, right? Can you believe that I bought this without reading the synopsis first? I had no idea what the story is all about but because it is from CA, I decided to just buy it and read it. The reviews are good so far, they are loving it. I can't wait to read this novel.
I wanted to get another novel to bring back with me just in case that I might finish the other novels early. So this will be another accompany for me if I finished reading all the novels above. Quite thick though. I checked the pages, it is about 1000 pages guys. Can you imagine how heavy it is? My RM10 is so worth to spend on. Yes, I purchased this novel for only RM10 on Fajar Pakeer booth if I'm not mistaken.
I got all the novels on my wish lists but so sad that there is no epop booth there. Malay Epop is a Malay magazine that shares about the entertainment in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. I used to collect them during my high school but stop after I finished my school. So I planned to get some of the magazines that I missed especially when it has my favourite groups like Gfriend and Dreamcatcher. We searched for the booth so many times until I decided to private message (that showed how eager am I to get something that I want) the Epop page on Facebook about it. Unfortunately, it confirmed that they didn't participate KLIBF for this year.

It just feels good to be back at KLIBF. Eventhough I didn't grab that many books but the time spent there was the moment I missed a lot since a few years ago. I hope I will get the opportunity to go the again next year.
P/s: I used to review novels back then, should I did it again with these novels that I bought? Share your thoughts cause I want to know should I do it or not. Thank you in advance! 😉

Did you go to KLIBF this year? What did you grabbed?
I didn't had the chance to go to book fair like KLIBF or BBW yet. Anyway, happy reading, that's so many books you've bought!
ReplyDeleteIts okay, maybe next time you can go there. I want to go BBW so badly but we will see. Thank you so much, I hope it is enough for now. If not, I will grab more in bookstores. Hehe 😊
DeleteLenne dah baca bos paling romantik and akadku yg terakhir! Both mmg best, Syaza tak salah pilih buku hehe. You should tell us what you feel after reading these books though. Dah lama tak baca reviews, as in malay punya novel hehe x
ReplyDeleteReally? I can't wait to read those novels after reading your comment. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I might do a review of novels I have read in the future 😊
DeleteJeles tengok semua update kat blog..nak pergi tapi jauh. Sabaq je la..huhu
ReplyDeleteAlolo, I'm sorry if you feel that way. Moga satu hari nanti Auni dapat pergi pesta buku ni 😊
Deletebanyaknya buku, akak dah lama tak membeli buku.
ReplyDeletenak follow syaza tapi akak tak jumpa pula butang untuk follow hehehe ke akak yang tak nampak nih
Banyak eh? Hehe. Ni pun beli sebab dah beberapa tahun tak beli novel. Tiba-tiba terasa nak membaca balik. Hehe.
DeleteOh, kalau nak follow blog, sebelah SYAZA RAIHANAH tu ada tanda tiga baris (=) kan? Tekan kat situ nanti keluar tempat follow 😊
Akadku Yang Terakhir tu macam best. Tak pernah lagi rasanya baca buku tulisan Acik Lana tapi so far review tak pernah mengecewakan.
ReplyDeleteNi pun karya pertama Acik Lana yang Syaza ada. Baca review pun semua kata best. Tak sabar nak baca and tahu cerita pasal apa 😊
DeleteI haven't been to KLIBF for about 5 or 6 years. Rindu nak pergi and borong segala buku! Minta tolong my sisters belikan je segala buku T_T
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for you. But it's okay at least you have your sister to buy books for you right? InshaAllah nanti Farah dah balik Malaysia boleh pergi sana 😊
Deletesuamiku si mata biru sy bli last year jg kt klibf... jujurnya sy kecewa sikit dgn karya dr.evelyn yg ni... sy expect ni lg umphh dr A380 o wedding.. tp sblk nyer... sy hrp dr.evelyn lbh menyerlah utk next project
ReplyDeleteTo be honest Syaza pun sedikit kecewa juga dengan SSMB. Jalan cerita macam mendatar sikit while A380 punya story memang best giler. Tapi mungkin juga sebab expectation Syaza tinggi sangat so bila baca SSMB, rasa dia lain daripada novel yang sebelum ni. Apa-apa pun, kita doakan Dr. Evelyn come up with another great novels in the future 😊
DeleteEvelyn rose is a good author.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Her novels are full of contents and I learnt something a lot everytime I read it 😊
DeleteI didn't had the chance to go to KLIBF this year (again, because I'm working T_T). I didn't go to the KLIBF since the past 2 years because I'm not at Peninsular Malaysia during KLIBF. I'm currently studying at Sarawak and I'm not going to waste my money on the plane ticket T_T but I really want to go to KLIBF.
ReplyDeleteEvelyn Rose is really a good author! I really love The Wedding Breaker and 13 Jam A380 but I heard & read so many bad reviews about her new novel, Suamiku Si Mata Biru which make me hesitated, to buy or not to buy the new novel.
Happy reading Syaza!
banyaknye yang menarik, berkesempatan untuk pergi...sedikit kekangan....
ReplyDeleteOf course you should do the review and if the book are good enough it worth to be expose to other. I never go KLIBF before cause from Sabah the ticket is so pricy, I hope I got a better chance next year .
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and please make a review of it, im dying to know since I'm not usually exposed with Malay novel reviewers yet. huhu.
